A Little About The Shack Organization
The Shack Restaurant Group was founded in 1972 with the opening of our 1st location in Playa Del Ray, California. Our second location opened in Kailua in 1987. Subsequent openings occured in Hawaii Kai in 1991, Santa Monica, Califorinia in 1992, Littleton, Colorado in 1993, Mililani in 1999, Kapaa, Kauai in 2002, and Waikiki in 2008.
Our success is based on our commitment to quality, low-priced food, friendly energetic staff, aggressive management and marketing, and a lively, fun atmosphere that appeals to a wide demographic base from 7 to 70.
Our new look is done using Ohiu Logs, thatching and Bamboo, complimented with Tiki Torches, old Hawaiian photographs of surfing, Hawaiian Royalty, and the turn of the century islands, cities and harbors.
We also specialize in live televised sports, a large selection of draft beers and micro brews and periodic live music events which are enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. We also offer a good selection of video games, and new to our Waikiki location, a VIP lounge located near the stage area with bottle service.
We are also involved in many community charity groups such as The Special Olympics, Hawaii Food Bank, Toys for Tots, and island-wide fundraisers. We also offer numerous sponsorships including little league football, baseball, basketball, and adult softball, LaCrosse and surfing.
We pride ourselves in our ongoing efforts to give back to the community that has supported us in our success.

Hello,
I manage a local Singer/Guitarist ZACK SHIMIZU and was hoping to get him some new performances. He can do up to 4 sets of cover/original material. He currently gigs at Michel’s, Chibo’s, Ige’s, Hard Rock Cafe Waikiki, Apartm3nt and is looking to try some new venues.
He can do solo acoustic all the way up to full band, depending on what the gig calls for. He recently opened for Youtube sensation David Choi at a BAMP Project concert. He has a solo CD of original material “Will I Still” out now. A few samples can be found at http://www.zackshimizu.com/music/ and sample videos taken by fans at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSKB2hfgyXE&feature=related (Original)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnFSkVI-lfg (Bob Marley Cover)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gjxetbp3Nk&feature=related (Cream Cover)
Please let me know if we can work something out. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Bran Apeles

Hello,
A bunch of us from California, a few from Florida, and a few from New Jersey will be meeting in Waikiki for some frolicking good time under the sun. We should all be there on Sep 14 – Sep 16. Since it’s close to mine and a friend’s birthday, we would like to celebrate our birthdays and vacation togetherness at Da Shack Waikiki
.
We are interested to know if you can accomodate about 15-25 people in our party group. Hopefully reserve a spot for us as close to the stage/ live music, dancing, and pool table there. We prefer the night of Fri, 9/16. If that’s not available then Thurs, 9/15. We would also like to know if you offer any party drink/meal deals as well. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you! I always have fun at Da Shack when in Waikiki. ;-D!!!
